North Carolina Global TransPark's electrical connections can be extended to all parcels since they are ready for immediate development. Solar power is available at some facilities.

Two major utility companies service the Global TransPark: Duke Energy and Kinston Public Services (Electricities).

Duke Energy
  • Substation located 5 miles from Global TransPark on N.C. Highway 58 North
  • Substation fed by 115 kV transmission line
  • Substation capacity of 12.5 MVA expandable to larger capacity as needed
  • Substation loaded at 45 percent (5.6 MVA) with 55 percent capacity remaining
  • Two 23 kV feeders from the substation serve Global TransPark tenants
Kinston Public Services (Electricities)
  • Two substations – Rouse Road and Airport Road – available for the Global TransPark
  • Rouse Road is 30 MVA substation with the capacity to serve an additional 22.5 MVA
  • Airport Road substation is 22.5 MVA substation
  • Both substations fed by 115 kV transmission line
Water Service

​Water Service - Kinston Public Services

  • Existing water line sizes at sites are 6, 8, 12 and 16 inches long
  • 15 MGD surface water system through the Neuse Regional Water and Sewer Authority
  • City of Kinston is a member of this authority and receives 3.09 MGD
  • Neuse Regional Water and Sewer Authority high-pressure water transmission main (within 1 mile of the Global TransPark)
  • Water treatment facility (6.5 miles from Global TransPark)
  • Two elevated water tanks within 6,000 feet of the Global TransPark
  • 1 million gallons of storage at Rouse Road tank
  • 500,000 gallons of storage at Airport Road tank
Wastewater Service

  • Ample wastewater capabilities existing and available
  • Combination of both gravity lines and force main
  • Northside Wastewater Treatment Plant (6.5 miles from Global TransPark)
  • Capacity to treat 11.85 MGD
