REQUEST FOR PRE-QUALIFICATION STATEMENTS
Design/Builder Pre-Qualification Statements will be received by mail by the North Carolina Global TransPark Authority (NCGTPA) Construction Consultant, Mitchell W. Becker, NCGTPA, 2780 Jetport Road, Kinston, NC 28504, for the design and construction of a greenfield newly constructed distribution warehouse in Kinston, NC on the property of the Global TransPark Authority.
Scope of Work includes complete architectural and engineering design and construction for a building consisting of the following:
Facility Requirements: (may be subdivided for multi-tenant occupancy)
footprint of 108,000 SF (600’ wide x 180’ deep)
bay spacing 40’ wide x 60’ deep
conventional steel frame with columns & joists
32’ clear height
concrete tilt-wall panel exterior
single-ply roof membrane
6” reinforced slab-on-grade
ESFR fire protection system
minimal mechanical, electrical and plumbing(until Tenant upfit)
All site prep, site work and utilities to be included
Submit Pre-Qualification Statements on AIA, AGC or other standard forms. At minimum Pre-Qualification Statements shall include the following information:
Summarize your capability to complete the proposed project.
Summarize your firm’s experience and competence relevant to the proposed project.
Summarize your firm’s record of on-time-completion for projects relevant to the proposed project.
Within the past ten years, has your firm, or any related entities been or proposed to be suspended, disbarred or determined to be non-responsive based on an allegation of unsatisfactory performance or fraud? If yes, provide details.
Within the past ten years, has your firm ever had a contract terminated for any reason either as a prime, subcontractor or as a partner in a joint venture? If yes, provide details.
Within the past ten years, has your firm ever filed a claim for a default termination, the imposition of liquidated damages, a termination for convenience that adversely affected your firm, or any damages caused by an owners determination that your firm was not performing in a timely, safe or contractual manner? If yes, provide details
Bonding – Provide a statement that your firm is capable of providing performance and payments bonds for 100% of the contract value.
Insurance - Provide a statement that your firm is capable of providing evidence of insurance coverage, with the NC GTP identified as additional insured.
References – Provide at least 3 references from past projects that best illustrate your firm’s ability to perform the required work. References from state owned projects are preferred.
Four copies of the RFQ are required, and should be submitted no later than 5:00 PM Eastern Standard Time, Monday, March 15, 2010. RFQs received after this date and time will not be considered. All RFQs should be mailed to:
